@Another Movie Addict: Hard to describe..but its like Harry Potter if he discovered he was a wizard in college and then went to Narnia with all his buddies. Definitely not meant for children though, it is quite bloody.
@Saeyra: I've seen commercials of it, just never got around to watching it. Too scared it'd be like Once Upon A Time or Grimm.
@Another Movie Addict: Slightly better than those because its based on an actual book not just screenwriters trying to extend a story way beyond its life expectancy. Give it a shot. There is no harm in trying :vanora_smile:

@Another Movie Addict: From what I read the book is a parody of pop culture fantasy. People are pretty divided on whether its good or its trash, haven't read it myself.

@Another Movie Addict: Quick warning, this is a dark series. No happy unicorns. Lots of violence. All the characters are broken in some way. If they aren't yet they will be.
@Saeyra: That's fine. Unicorns aren't actually happy creatures anyway. Most mythical creatures aren't. The only time I like darkness sanitized is creepypastas, and that's only because I've never respected them as darkness.

Meh. I still liked it and that's all that matters. It's a slow burn of a movie.

Lately I've been rewatching a lot of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
@Unicorn: It's definitely not a show for everyone. It's about a guy trapped in space with his robots, being forced to watch bad movies. Lol basically it's a show to watch someone else talk during a movie, making fun of it (riffing). I love this show.
I would recommend it. It's a very character based story though, so if you need a lot of stuff to happen you'd might not like it.

@Unicorn: There are some funny bits, but mostly it's just a lot of getting to know the characters and their motivations. The book has a lot more to it than the movie though. I say that I need to read it, what I mean is I need to actually try it again. Tried to read it back when I was 12, but like my 12 year old attention span couldn't stick with it.
