Surprisingly the air is fairly clear and smoke free today. The wind must be blowing from the only direction there isn't a big fire....

@Dataninja: No thank you! I am sick of breathing smoke and ash and being constantly on the verge of bloody noses. Had the red moon though. And the hot pink sun. It was really cool, but also bad because of the smoke.
@Kaderin triste: That's fair enough. We don't have it quite that bad here, it's mostly just an ominous smoky cloud cover. Being surrounded by ocean probably helps.

@dataninja: Either way, fires suck and I really hope that many of the ones burning in the northwest states can be put out soon.
@kaderin triste: Same with the ones here in BC. They've gotten so bad, that a state of emergency has been declared for the first time in nearly two decades. Hopefully all the ones across the continent can be extinguished...

It's actually in the top 5 here for driest summer and worst fire season. We've been in a state of emergency since the end of July. Not a good summer.
