@Eruca: lol I also made friends with a chef while in college, We all kinda did. go to college for art (where I found her too haha), and the chefs would feed us whatever they make sometimes. so we got cake and stuff for free =D

It's kinda encouraging that you're still an artist. People told me I'd have given up by then if I pursued art. :vanora_annoyed: People just don't value art enough. Half as much as they're into stupid daylight savings anyways. Everybody just complains and nobody does anything about it.

@Eruca: I mean, if I'm supposed to be arguing on a pro-DST stance (?), the only real thing is that it was and is still implemented as a way to help reduce energy consumption by increasing the hours of daylight in the evening. I don't know how effective it really is, but I imagine it helps some.

@Kaderin Triste: I wasn't trying to put the onus on you by stating that fact. Maybe I should have worded it differently. A brief wikipedia read suggests that the energy savings associated with DST is mixed, as it heavily depends on location, climate, and energy usage patterns.

@Eruca: worst part is the first program took me 2 years to complete. its a 1 year as was GD =/ but again bad profs.
@Eruca: I mean, I imagine it was far more effective across the board back when it was first implemented, although it would have varied some based on location, but with today's usage of electricity throughout the day for computer, tv, video games, etc, I imagine that the energy consumption saved by DST is mostly pretty negligible. So DST is probably not as effective as people imagine (or want) it to be.

It's most likely still a thing just because people hate change and also because it would have to be gotten rid of in all areas at pretty much the same time or else there would probably be a lot of confusion especially for anyone traveling to/through different time zones.
