I grew up in the deep south where boiled peanuts were a community favorite at every event, especially football games. It wasn't until I moved to the northeast that I learned that not everyone liked them... or even knew about them.
I could eat 'em all damn day, though.
What's your strange food?
Forums General Chit-Chat What strange food do you like?

I don't know if it's that strange, but I love calamari!
♥♥♥
I have never heard of this...
Also, it's not the food that is strange...it's what I do with it. Mustard. I put it on everything. Everything. Potato chips, fries, chicken, pizza, tacos etc.

@Adore: That's not too strange. Calamari is delicious.
@Shamrock Shamus: Mustard as in... spicy brown mustard?

@Sasha: Lmao I am. xD Everyone reacts that way. My kid, Ant hates mustard but loves mayo. He's obviously not mine lmao. ; )
Hmm..I'm fairly picky so typically stray from 'strange' foods lol. I put hot sauce and cheese slices in my ramen (the packs) does that count? o.o

I love sushi and I'm sure sea urchin aka "uni" is pretty strange to people hehe.

When I was a child I dipped a candy bar in hot sauce.
and I put hot sauce with everything. And different kinds of hot sauce.
I like to venture out of my comfort zone sometimes. But i usually add hot sauce to everything.
Spice is my best friend.
I sometimes drink pickle juice right out of the jar. I eat tomatoes like apples, and black olives like grapes. I will open up a can of peas and just eat it cold with a little bit of vinegar and oil, like it's a salad.

@Miss Kitty: That does count, yes. I am sufficiently sickened.
@Alexis: I like sushi, too, but never had sea urchin before. Actually didn't know you could eat them. They must be good?
@FuuChan: Are you a fan of indian food? Spice is life.
@Schye: That... actually sounds kind of interesting. Salty, tangy, and sweet.
@Theory: Look at you, eating ingredients like a skyrim character. Black olives are fucking amazing, though. I may or may not be guilty of emptying a can in one sitting.
@Raxton: I have never heard of that before and just did a quick google search. That is one of the weirdest foods I've ever seen. You win. Thread is closed.

I particularly love this local street food called "Isaw" (ee-sao) It's a grilled chicken intestine best partnered with spicy vinegar sauce.

It has all the dispassionateness of a disembodied soul, and something of its inconceivable mystery.
