I've actually got them meeting on the slowest runners first lap when they're halfway around xD
I says, "How much time is taken by the quickest runner to finish the race, if he runs at thrice the speed of the slowest runner?" So sounds like it is asking how long the quickest runner takes to finish the race.

I have no recollection of equations what so ever. I can do them if i remember them. but for word puzzles like this is much easier for me to draw a circle label it and than go yup okay 1 min 2 min 3 min 4 min. .. oops their4 and 2 hits nope doesn't work. next guess!
