the moon is sitting right in front of your eyes. you look at her like you'd look an old friend in the eyes, and feel a certain kind of tiredness the almost seems safe.
Something changed this time, with her always looking at you from above, you started feeling smaller than you are. but now, she's but a speck on the surface of the ocean
but can you jump and catch her reflection before it turns into shards of light , dissipating away and breaking on unknown shores?

@Kcalb: I was trying to make moon fit as well. I believe you've come as close as possible.
A wolf? They travel in packs and you might hear them howl at night. I'm not sure if a howl is the same as a "beckoning call" though...

@Angelus: Very true. If I were to nitpick, I'd say the moon isn't either, since it can also appear in the day.

Werewolves, perhaps their call/howl lures victims towards them?
Tbh I thought of a vampires as well? Since they're so charismatic
not traveling a lone either being the 'beast' inside them or other victims they've already wrapped around their fingers.
