Oh pooh, binary.
I love working with binary in a mathematics sense, but I do not know the conversions for words offhand. Sigh.
Oh no.. where is that binary translator. I don't remember!
Currently recovering from large amounts of PTSD. I'll post when I can, please ping for replies. Things are very difficult for me right now.
So I think there is supposed to be 8 characters per word, right? In the third row, I counted one less, is that a typo? Or do I just have no idea what I'm doing?
I'm trying to use a translator online but the best I've gotten so far is:
return to the cbæèØ
And that's only one converter, it doesn't take to the rest I've tried at all.
Parsed into 8-character blocks:
Let's see
01100100 11001010 11101000 11101010 11100100
11011100 01000000 11101000 11011110 01000000
11101000 11010000 11001010 01000000 1100011
01100001 01110011 01110100 01101100 01100101
11011100 01000000 11101000 11011110 01000000
11101000 11010000 11001010 01000000 1100011
01100001 01110011 01110100 01101100 01100101
Let's see
01100100 11001010 11101000 11101010 11100100
11011100 01000000 11101000 11011110 01000000
11101000 11010000 11001010 01000000 1100011
01100001 01110011 01110100 01101100 01100101
I see three instances of 01000000 so that's probably a common letter. Maybe that's A, since it looks like the lowest number in here... If that's A then what...
11011100 01000000 11101000 11011110 01000000

@Angelus: Your answer looks like real words and everything I have done does not. I'm guessing the translator is just glitching out because of the missing character in one of those words.
@Theory: Missing character? So there is a typo in the binary?
@Angelus: I think so... the third row has one fewer character than the others, and from what I know, the letters should be represented by 8-character blocks of numbers.
@Theory: Interesting. I noticed you mentioning that binary should be broken up in to strings of 8. I tried that in the same translator that got me real words and it gets the same thing but a different jumble for the last word,
return to the ÆÅÍѱ
Guess I've done all I can then. I can't identify the error.
If Angelus' answer is partially right, then here's what the letters correspond to:
01100100 11001010 11101000 11101010 11100100
R E T U R
11011100 01000000 11101000 11011110 01000000

So the 01000000 I noticed was common is actually the space!

So that would be...
"Return to ?he castle"
Return to the castle
So the error is in "t" which is written as 0110100 when it should be written as 01110100. It was missing a 1

Because no binary starts with "11", it always starts with a 0, so i shifted to find the mistake accordingly
@Dipper: So then the jumble in my first translation which I'd gotten before I noticed Theory mention breaking it up into strings of 8, was the closer translation.
It said this was the final puzzle. Is that of the round or the chapter?
@Angelus: yep, seems so
For the chapter, I assume...idk

@Dipper: Seems more sensible. I don't know what story there would be for another round.
welp. At least I got to help some even if it was just by typing, copying and pasting into a translator.

Having you as a Voltie would be awesome.
