@Bone Wench: I believe you. I've seen the system fail dozens of folks. I had a colleague that couldn't stand for very long due to a back injury, she had to fight to have access to a chair by reaching out to the higher ups because the director at my former workplace told her no. They also didn't believe her injury was as severe as she claimed, they thought she was lying and started cutting her hours. Eventually she felt so unwelcome that she left. It was awful. :/
