@Unicorn: no like. I've seen a lot of really bad people at my summer job for camp. Some of these people are in school to work with youth or have even worked with youth or volunteered with them. Yet they're absolute shit and terrible at their jobs. They yell at kids, they don't know how to be strict or discipline or be fair and show favoritism and stuff.
Like today this student teacher came into my work, I work at the youth club rn, and was really cringey and I couldn't even hold a convo with him. He was getting up too much in my space and then threw out he wanted to apply. I can already tell the kids would just brush him off and he might not fit well with the others. Personally he would annoy the shit out of me.
But like that's minor, him being annoying, in comparison to other folks. I've seen people at the camp I work at during the summer, who are basically just kids themselves. Cause other staff have to keep guiding them and keep an eye on them too lol.
I'm half asleep so I hope that made sense.
But ughh. Yeh. You can get people who are horrible but somehow are in school or have previous experience with working with kids. But they're shit.
