@Mad Hatter: I personally use superglue. The kind that, when you have it on your finger and your come near it with another finger, your fingers are glued together.
@Tuijp: Superglue? Sounds like it saves the day for ordinary glues indeed

@Artemis: they are old boots, but the bottom was partly off for both. I glued that back on.
