That will go in in the EU. A dutch article just explained it wil also fobid the usages of picture memes since the original pictures are copyrighted and you need to pay to use them. That means we will also see no more movie/tv show gifs. Big companies like facebook might pay for the usage of those but many probably won't. That means those websites need to install a filter that blocks those things.

im still angry about this other law they wanted to push through, the one that's basically conflicting with human rights

tbh they're probably gonna make a lot of loss if this gets through
cause most of it is basically spreading the word/advertising for movies etc

@Vii: they want to force websites to pay the makers of the pictures/music. While Facebook and Youtube make millions, they hardly pay them (if they pay at all, like facebook).
