@Unicorn: I dunno. Someone close to me pointed out that my eating habits aren't super great. I eat out a lot bc sometimes when I eat at home I get hassled by my parents. I'm still at home rn with plans to move put by next July. And when I cook they make a big deal out of it. :vanora_sweat: I clean up after myself yet they'll complain that I didn't do it properly or they'll find something else to complain about like the house smelling like whatever I've cooked. And if they see me eating out they'll question why I'm doing that so I've usually hidden when I've eaten. It's frustrating. I would totally cook at home more if they didn't bother me all the time. And they can be randomly harsh about it. It's my food btw, that I buy and I'm not cooking anything particularly greasy or smelly either. They just find something to be miserable about bc they're bored. :vanora_upsidedown:

@Unicorn: yeeeah but they won't. They've been like that forever. They even try to control when I cook, if it's past 10 PM they get reeeeeally weird about it. Even tho they both only go to bed at 12 am.

I feel like I'm still a kid sometimes here and they baby me hardcore. They're both pretty negative and discouraging. I actually don't have a relationship with my dad whatsoever, he only ever interacts with me to ask me to clean or to complain that I've done something wrong/heavily imply I'm stupid. :vanora_sweat:

I get along better with my mom but she just has random outbursts where she seems to target me and is looking for an argument. I'm just over being their outlets and I hope they realize that I won't be around as often as they think I will be once I move out because they've pushed me in that direction with their behavior over the years. Yeesh.

@Unicorn: nahhhh, Sorry for dumping that on ya. I'm like kinda use to it and just doing what i can to avoid conflict.

I'm mostly bothered that someone close to me chose to point out my bad eating habits despite knowing what happens at home and why I opt to eat out since its way less of a hassle.

It also made me feel self conscious about my body bc I know I've gained a little bit of weight over the past two years and I'm really unhappy with myself rn. >>; I feel like they were hinting at the effects of food on my body or idk.

@Unicorn: I'm sorry to hear that ^^; I would offer to walk with you if we lived closer to each other! I know what you mean about friends not acting like friends.. I've been drifting away from a lot of folks recently and unsure of who I can rely on and trust and eeeck.
