Depends on why the dog got taken. None of them were taken over violence, they were just knocking people's trash cans over looking for food.
You can't tell these guys are underfed, they're still very musclely. The neighborhood knows they're underfed because they come begging for food everywhere. But there's not enough hard evidence for them to be permanently taken away. So the family pays roughly 300ish$ and got them back. Granted I live in a country that gave the duct tape dog back to the lady who did that to him. She duct taped the dogs mouth together because she was sick of the barking and posted a photo of it on FB.
@Artemis: She was given the dog back. They found that outside of that one photo, the dog was well cared for.

@Angelus: some lady, ductaped the mouth of her dog and posted pics of it online, because she was tired of the barking. They took the dog away from her, but apparently, they gave it back.
