@Yixing: You're welcome and the more you practice shading the more you will improve. That's how it is for me. Experiment the shading style. xD

And yea, I just kind of experimented coloring as I went. xD I bought this art book with tons of info on color theory, but I have yet to study it on my own time. OTL

@Flaria: It's called "Color and Light" by James Gurney. It's really informative too! LINK
Same! Books are definitely a great resource to use. c: I also like to use stock photos where people pose in different positions and use that as a ref for practice sketches.
@okios: I suck at couple poses. xD But I'm glad you like it so far.
