Backstory:
I'm adopted. I have 2 half siblings that live with my birth mother in another state (open adoption). Not to sound harsh but.... I HATE my birth mother. Shes selfish, narcissistic, puts men over her children, compares her kids and in general neglects them. We're all adults now (18, 21 and 24, with me being the oldest, my 24th birthday is tomorrow). I haven't seen them in 6 years and it KILLS me, but they live 10 hours away. Plus my birth mother is also very controlling and since I cut her out of my life when I was 18 and realized how toxic she is, she won't bring them to see me or help them get the funds or anything to come themselves.
USUALLY, my birth mom calls me on my birthday, I ignore it and she cries into the phone and gets mad because I won't answer the phone for my "mother" (bitch, you didn't raise me and my mom is a million times the woman you will ever be). But tonight, both of my siblings called me and I ain't ashamed to tell you..... I cried like a baby. My little brother is now a man and my little sister is old enough to drink. WHY MUST THE CHILDREN GROW?!?! Hearing them talk about their jobs and my brother graduating soon and all of their accomplishments made me SO proud, I'm only sad I missed the milestones.
