After all I am using that exact method in an RP of mine.
A character is going to produce a line of wizard funny drinks called 'Poison Punch', to make sure they work she tests them on her cousin (mostly to freak out the other people at the Ministry because she's a not nice lady and threatens to poison people at least twice a day).
