@Roshan: i just saw the picture of ye kitty, i didn't know about Nebelungs, they're so cute!
they're like a fluffy version of a russian blue, or a korat, two other grey cat breeds oi know of. o3o

@Zuzu: oh a nebelung is a long haired Russian blue but that is just their official name since Russian blues are not long haired. It is just weird. I know.

@Roshan: that is interesting to know. pretty cool.
i used to have two russian blues, tho one might've been a korat.
oi miss them -3-
one died of old age, the other, sadly a car.

@Zuzu: awww the poor babies! I am really sorry to hear that your kitty got hit by a car and the other passed.

Yea they really are and I might be spelling the breed wrong. Lol. But yea once they get attached to one person deeply they will follow them around the house and they are actually highly intelligent as well. A bit hard to please them. Lol. Well mine is since he has pica.

@Roshan: t'was several years ago that they passed.
tho the one i miss the most came after them, he also got hit by a car -3-
i don't mind so much when they pass due to old age, still sad,
but cars, or other accidents, and it's like they be gone too soon.

ah my russian blue was pretty attached to me. Whiskey was his name, the other was called Smokey,
but Whiskey was the one that became my cat. he'd follow me everywhere, and would sleep by my shoulder.
he also was a shoulder cat. i miss that. my current cats are not shoulder cats.
they don't really like being picked up. -3-

i think ye spelled the breed name right. owo

@Zuzu: awww yea when they die from accidents that tends to be the hardest. Cause it feels as if they are snatched away from you and your not prepared for it.
Like right now I am worried that Sarge is going to die from some strange thing that he eats because of his pica

@Roshan: yeah accidents is something one can't prepare for >.<

@Zuzu: he really likes string. Which can cause his intestines to get tied in a knot and that surgery is exspensive

Donator — They/them Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/06/28 00:33:17 )

@Roshan: string can be pretty bad. my cats like string but they usually ignore string if it's laying around.
but if it's tinsel on a christmas tree, they are like "om nom nom" :vanora_sweat:

Donator — He/She Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/06/28 00:37:47 )

@Zuzu: yea but he is weird. The string can just be hanging there or laying there or used to tease him with and he will attack it and try to eat it. He does it with paper and wires as well. That is the struggle of dealing with pica though....

@Roshan: yeah i've heard it can be a struggle dealing with a cat that has pica,
someone on a discord i'm in has a cat with pica, i can't remember who it was,
but they complain in the rants channel about their cat somehow finding string.
or how they've had to remove all drawstrings on hoodies and stuff.

@Zuzu: exactly!!! Most days it is fine but you have to be vigilant to make sure that there is no strings or cords that they can eat and tear up. Pica animals will find what ever it is that they like to eat even if your completely sure you got it all up and out the way.
But as I said since I made sure none of that is out for him, he tends to be a completely normal kitty otherwise.

@Roshan: i'm pretty glad my cats don't have pica, cause i have a cluttered house.
it'd be so very hard to clean everything up and keep it safe.

tis good tho that you're vigilant on making sure ye cat is safe. ^u^

@Zuzu: yea your very lucky you don’t have to deal with it. Cause you have to spring clean like every week with one.

Yes it is. Amazing the lengths you will go through to protect your fur baby. Lol.

@Roshan: because their kids were at our house a lot growing up. And I am pretty sure that he was abused well living at there house before they told us that we could have him

@Unicorn: yes I will have to agree with you there that he was being abused. I mean my cat gets abused by my niece. Well you know how kids abuse animals by licking them up and holding them in uncomfortable positions and all that. But I am teaching her how to treat him and he hasn’t hurt her as he is a very tolerant kitty but still I protect him from stuff like that and they probably didn’t do that for their kitty and that is why he always lashed out over every little thing

@Roshan: oi bet my parents would be happy if we had a pica cat, cause i'd finally clean the house and keep it clean :vanora_sweat:
i would go through any lengths to protect my fur babies o3o

i ended up spending around $400 on my kitty princess.
tho in the end the vet said the lump on her paw is just a cyst.
those tend to be benign, i looked up some more info on it here.
i'm glad it wasn't like a infected pus filled abscess.
tho she did get put on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory to help with it.
but if i wanted to get it removed. well that'd cost $900-1500 or so.

@star2000shadow: what happened to ye ankle?

@Zuzu: exactly! Got to protect those fur babies!

Oh I can understand that. My hamster had gotten a lump and the vet couldn’t tell me if it was cancerous or not and she kept walking on it so I ended up having to put her down as well. I got her after my cat had passed away.

Better be careful of that cyst cause there is a chance that it could start hurting her. Though it is good news that it is benign. I bet princess kitty greatly appreciated the fact that you did that for her.
