This is not the first laptop it has been doing this on.

Have u used the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter?
(Type Troubleshooter in the windows search bar > click Troubleshoot (system settings) > scroll to Hardware and Device > Run)

if that still doesnt work then
my ultimate last resort: Backup my files, and System Restore back to a point in time where it did work smooth as butter, and set my windows updates to manual (instead of the recommended automatic).
(But this process is such a pain, that I usually just live with it instead of doing this)

by that point, i'd be so bummed that i'd reset my computer to factory settings (since that the most purest form of "system restore" imo) to find where did i or this device go wrong.

does your wacom show wear and tear or like a very tiny hole on its wires, around where it connects to the device?

It's literally the driver.

I'll reboot my laptop from time to time because it needs it (should be reboot every so often anyway, not necessarily for updates), and it'll boot up and the driver will not work.
It's absolute bullshit
And wacom customer support is NOT helping me.

So I want to get $600CDN to get a huion - beter specs anyway. For a cheaper price.
So no harm done.

@lady luna: wow i guess i'm really lucky mine still works after 5+ years.
i have a wacom intuos 3 that worked on windows xp, windows 7, windows 8, and windows 10.
sometimes the pressure sensitivity stops working suddenly, but i just save my art file, close the art program, go to Services and restart the Wacom service, then resume arting. this bug doesn't happen often, so it's not thaat annoying to me.

Sometimes that works.
About 30% of the time.

I REALLY hope that whomever it was that I was speaking to at that time was fucking bullshitting me.
