"Woah." Levi said quietly.
"That is so cool." he commented.
"....handy, too." he then added, before approaching it and picking it up.
"Yeah... yeah, I should read this." he agreed.
"Um... so was that other voice while I was here... real?" he asked her.
"Like, that wasn't me being legit crazy, right?"

Madison just laughed.
"Gregory's an ass." She told him.
"But don't worry. He's real. You are not insane." She assured him.
"Everything you hear... they're the dead. I know it's hard to swallow that pill, but you're good. Don't worry, you're completely sane."

"...the dead..." Levi muttered.
"Like... that old movie where the kid can see dead people. Except I hear them." he said.
"At least I'm not crazy." he then mumbled further, sighing quietly.
"Thank you." he said to her.
"This should really help."

"Finding out you aren't cray is always good." Madison commented with a light laugh.
"Seriously though. You're sane." She said with a soft smile.
"You've just got an uncommon abulity." That was the truth, but there was nothing that could be easid beyond that, not really.
"Do you have any immediate questions?" She asked, her voice curious.

".....just one." Levi replied after a pause.
"...'A' reaper?" he asked.
"Like... you say that as though there are multiple ones." he said.
"ARE there?" he asked her.
"I always thought that reaper was... well, if it was real, it was, like, a solo kinda thing."

"One solo person trying to manage all the deaths in the world is freaking insane." She commented.
"Do you realize how many people die a day?" She asked.
"But yes. there are multiple. A few per region, but not too insane. Like there are 100 every block or anything. There are about ten per city, from what I know." She paused a moment before shrugging.
"And we've really all got specialisations. I deal with children, there's another that deals with the elderly, Gregory for instance is another reaper, and he deals with the assholes."

".....I see." Levi replied.
"That... is a lot of death." he said.
"That's... well, I DO have more questions, but I'll need to, like, sort them in my mind." he told her. "Otherwise they'll be a jumbled mess of chaos and rambling." he reasoned.
"For now, I need to do some reading." he said further.
"Finish this and make sure it gets back to the original owner in proper time." he added, looking at the book again.

"I've actually taken an interest in you." She told him. "So I find myself hanging around relatively regularly."
"As a result, you can get ahold of me, quite easily, when you want to return the b ook, and/or if you have any questions at any point."

I miss you more than you can ever know.
Levi was silent for a moment when she said that, and blushed a little.
"Eh-heh." he chuckled, before he suddenly seemed to be scared.
"But... but that Gregory voice..." he said.
"He said... you know... with the throat and... yeah..." he mumbled.
"Is he... like, the jealous type, or something?" he asked, before he heard the male voice again.
"Yeah, but you've got nothing to fear." Gregory replied from behind him.
"You're too fleshy right now. Plus, you don't seem her type."

"But he is right to an extent. I'm not interested in you. Probably for the best anyway, since you've got, you know, a threat hanging over you." She added with a laugh.

Levi laughed as well, but there was a distinct nervousness to it.
"All right." he said.
"Madison." Gregory then said, addressing the woman.
"You're needed." he told her.
"There was... a fire." he finished, letting out a heavy sigh.
"So... yeah... you're needed."

"Well.... all right then." Was all she said before meeting Levi's gaze.
"If you need me, your blockers don't cut me out." She told him.
"Just call for me, I'll hear ya. Like I said, I like to hang around you."

Levi was silent again, and nodded.
"All right." he replied.
"Thanks again." he said.
He then watched as Madison faded away, and he no longer heard Gregory's voice, or anything like that. He looked at the work on his desk, was silent for a moment, and sighed.
"...I could use a break, anyway..." he reasoned with a small sigh.
He then opened the book, and started to read.

Later in the week, Ally pulled her bike into the parking lot, turned it off and climbed off of the device before looking at the building in front of her. She checked the GPS on her phone before sighing.
"Looks like this is the right place." she muttered before making her way to the only door she could see on this side of the building. When she stepped in, the AC was quite pleasant, but it didn't beat the windswept feeling from the ride there. She took the helmet off and stepped up to the paned desk there.
"Hey." She started,
"I think I'm in the right place. Anyway, I'm here to pick something up for a friend from..... can't remember her name for the life of me though."

The person behind the newspaper was silent for a moment, before she heard a small 'sst'-like sound.
"That's not much info." he told her.
"Unless you have something more specific, or even proof that you are supposed to be at THIS building, then we might have an issue." he commented further.
"I can't let someone in on such vague information."

"My name is Allyssa Duchannes, and I was told to tell the 'snakeboy' to let me in to see the 'fire gal'." Ally told him simply with a light shrug.
'But that's literally the best I have." She said before smirking.
"And I didn't expect that there would be said 'snakeboy' manning the door." She added

There was silence from the guard, before the paper was lowered some... and she saw reptilian-like eyes.
"Well, that DOES help your case..." he admitted.
"And.... fire gal." he went on.
"That... hmmm." he mumbled.
"One second." he said, before turning to a phone/comm machine that was beside him, and punching some numbers in. He waited for a moment, until it was answered.
"Yo." he said.
"You expecting someone here to see you to pick something up for a friend of hers?" he asked.
"I know that's vague, but just try and work with me here." he added.

'Is she here already? That surprises me, actyually." She admitted. "I thought it would be tomorrow she was stopping by." She paused.
"Anyway! Yes, I'm expecting Allyssa to show up to pick something up for her friend Levi." She then said, figuring a name would be a good thing to give at this point.
":Do you need me to come meet her at the door?"

Just as Jake was about to respond, he noticed that Allyssa looked to be confused.
"One second." he said.
"Are you all right?" he asked her.
What he didn't see, was that she was reacting to the reaction of a demon that only SHE could see, currently.
"....another demon." he said, looking around.
"A strong one. Well... stronger than me." he added.
