Perfect Chronology was one of the best remakes I've seen yet of an RPG. The added content was really good for an already really great game.
It took me some getting used to the art style changes though. I was partial to the original art style.
Who's played this?
Same as Total! I want to buy it so badly because it looks really good. So glad to hear it's a successful remake as well. It has the turn-based combat I love which is getting exceedingly rare these days.
@Totalanimefan: You follow two time lines that kind of affect each other until the end, a premise I really like in a game when it's done well. I haven't seen time travel used so fluidly since chrono trigger. Characters are likeable, story is engaging. There's some predictable plot twists, but it's already enjoyable at that point.
Music is nice, has a nice aesthetic. First version is pretty grindy, so play the new version if you don't like level grinding because they added a game play mode to basically nyx that.
@Dowan: Same as the above reply, but the battle system is actually really good for turn based. I liked it. Even if you play on the mode that cuts out the grinding, you still play key battles and any supplementary battles you choose to engage in, but can opt out of them if you don't feel like investing the time.
New version added like 100 extra chapters that more or less just expand on the history and lore of the world.

@Totalanimefan: The remake is yeah. The original was on the regular DS. It's easy to emulate if you want to try it out.
@Totalanimefan: One day I'll make a thread about JRPGs and list every one I've ever played for every console I've ever played lol
@Totalanimefan: Retro games function well on emulators and ROMs are easy to find if you ever wanted to go back to classics you missed.
@Totalanimefan: Is it just the battle system or is there a story to it like in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius?
@Totalanimefan: I might check it out then
