I don't think I can ever heal,
Ever replace that hole your death tore in me.

"I am dead." Reveka stated simply, plainly. Rene just acquired a bit of a puzzled expression.

"You do an amazing impersonation of being alive." He commented, his tone a bit on the sarcastic side. Reveka just shrugged.

"So you don't believe me. So be it." She stated.

"I truly am dead though." She told him.

"My name is Reveka, of the house of Basarab. Check the death records if you do not believe me."

Rene paused for a moment.

"...Basarab?" he asked.

He was then silent, and looked her over.

"...suppose I DID believe you." he then said, scratching at his chin.

"HOW are you standing before me, speaking with me?" he asked her.

"Also... something about that name is familiar." he then muttered, seeming to think about it. "I feel like I've known someone with that last name..."

'I am here due to my father breaking on the fundamental laws." Reveka answered simply, but didn't give any more information beyond that.

"And I wouldn't know if you knew someone or not." She added. "I was but a child before I died." Sure, that wasn't entirely accurate (she died at age 14), but she had been treated like a child, to an extent. Plus, considering mages and lifespans and such... she'd been a baby, really.

Rene was silent as he heard all this... until she saw his eyes widen a little.

"Wait..." he said.

"Wait, wait, wait..." he repeated.

"Your father broke the fundamental laws?" he asked rhetorically. "You were a child when you died..." he went on. "Basarab..." he said further.

"Question.' he then said.

"Was your father's name... Garridan?" he asked her.

Reveka nodded.

"yes." She answered with a nod.

"My Father was Garridan." She then clarified.

"Why?"

It was then that she saw Rene's eyes fill with anger, his teeth clench together, and his hands ball into fists.

"DAMN IT!" he yelled.

"That idiotic BASTARD!" he shouted, before slamming his fist into the nearest wall, the wall not breaking, but it seemed like his fist was all right as well.

"So THAT'S why he wanted the Vigor Weed and the Preservation Algae!" he exclaimed.

Reveka just quirked an eyebrow as she witnessed REne's display.

"Uhhh..." She paused before sighing.

"I agreed to it." She told him.

"Because you lose your temper, again, regarding this and him, he did not do anything against my will." She added.

"As an alchemist, we need to experiment, we need to test things.

"This was another test."

Rene's gaze snapped over towards her.

"....." he was silent, and looked ready to attack, before he seemed to calm himself down.

".....messing with the flow of life and death..." he mumbled.

"It is not meant to be reversible." he growled further, before pausing.

"But you being so young DOES explain a lot." he then continued, thinking about it.

"Your father seemed absolutely distraught and desperate to get those plants from me."

"When I dieds, his world broke." Reveka stated simply.

"And as a result, he became desperate to see me again, I was his only daughter after all." She added. "Only child, even."

"And alchemy breaks rules by it's very nature." She stated.

"So this is nothing for an alchemist. In sense of rules."

Rene just sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Ngh." he grunted.

"Just... ngh." he muttered.

"Well, guess you're proof that reanimation works." he said.

"But I'm willing to bet that you don't eat like a human." he guessed.

Reveka just sighed lightly.

'Not... entirely." She admitted.

"I can eat human food, but..." She trailed off a bit before sighing,a gain.

"Honestly, it's tasteless." She told him honestly.

"There's no flavour, no nothing."

"So it's unsatisfying." Rene said.

"But, you should need nutrition." he continued.

"You need to keep that body strong. And odds are your mental connection is... questionable, at times." he went on.

"Hmmmmm..." he mumbled.

"I suppose that connects to the heads you collected earlier, yes?" he asked her.

"But let's not get into that."

"If you wish." he said.

"Not like I'm one to talk." he went on.

"You saw the bodies by the river." he said.

"You know what I eat." he continued.

"Well... meat and fish. What I get from humans is just a bonus that comes from my killing them." he added.

Reveka just laughed lightly.

"I can understand that." She said.

"I do have some teas though, if that's of any interest to you." She added, not entirely sure what a lantha, even if bound, would be interested in.

"Tea?" he asked.

"I admit, tea is one thing humans did right. I DO enjoy a nice tea every once in a while." he admitted.

"Depends on what one has, though." he then said.

"What teas do you have here?" he asked.

"That cupboard over there." She added, motioning to a cupboard on the far wall.

"Nothing too great, at least not from where I'm standing, but drinkable."

Rene looked at the cupboard, and made his way over.

He opened it and looked at the selection she had, before sniffing one of them.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Been a while since I had a tea that used Mint-Marigold stems." he commented, showing her just how in touch with nature he was. Not that it was surprising. Lanthas, from what she had read, had great reverence for nature, but more towards sea-life. The fact that he was able to so quickly identify a land plant showed just how long he'd been living on the surface.

"Should be interesting to see what this one tastes like." he said further.

"Assuming that one is free to try." he added.

Reveka nodded.

"Yeah, feel free." She said with a smile.

"Teas are something I can actually have, although they aren't as flavourful as they were when I was alive." She added.

---

She was sitting on a rock that was cropped out over a river, just letting her feet dangle into the water as she watched the water go by. It was rather peaceful, and something that she could definitely get used to. It was why she kept the cabin she had in this area. She loved the place.

And the animals largely left her alone.

As she dangled her feet in the water, she noticed something. More animals seemed to be coming her way, but they appeared to be running FROM something.

Or someONE.

She then heard hurried footsteps, and they were coming her way as well.

When she looked up, she saw a small figure making their way towards her. The small figure then paused for a moment, leaning against a tree, before collapsing to their knees.
