@Robyn: I did that briefly. But right now, I work in high-end manufacturing. Long hours, for barely enough money to live. Kind of sucks. But hey, what can you do? It's really the only kind of work in my area, aside from farming. Which is even worse for your body, with even worse hours.
@Kozi: Sounds like investing into moving into a busier area may be beneficial for your health.
That or rising the ranks! Do they offer training?
@Robyn: I have a good chance at moving up, i'm just not sure if that's where I want to be forever, you know? I'd love some public transit, though. That would be nice.
@Kozi: I hope moving up would be less hours for you.. But I get you, its not what you imagined, BUT raise up there and other jobs may open up!
By public transit do you mean like a bus driver or like a public transport engineer?
@Robyn: The hours would be the same, with slightly higher pay. But a LOT more to do. I'm still not sure if it even levels out to be worth it, or not.
By public transit, I mean buses and the like. This is a forest area, so if you need a ride somewhere it can be tricky. There are two taxi companies near here, but both know they are a rarity, and charge a fortune as a result.

@Kozi: Yeah, promotions usually bring much more stress just for a small pay raise.
And that lack of taxis sounds like an opportunity to me! An open in the community.
@Robyn: Maybe one day I will live in such a place.

But maybe getting a car would help? You could just drive out of town to work.
Well.. And a licence.
@Robyn: The problem of a severely crippling phobia gets in the way of that. Last I tried was in earnest, and I barfed all over the inside of the car. Not cool.

My day's been okay.
I'm excited to spend it hanging out with my boyfriend once he wakes up.
I didn't sleep at all overnight, so I'm about to make coffee and just try to stay up as late as I can.
