There was silence for a moment, before the rune faded, and Ash stepped outside the cell.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"I see." he commented.

"Well, it takes a lot of control not to go too far." he told her.

"But feeling just how fragile the soul is can cause someone to see things your way." he smirked.

"So he's ready to listen to whatever you have to say."

"Ah, yes." Ash said.

"I was told that being late to dinner meant missing it." he told her.

"Guess I have to choice but to follow the rules here." he said further. "If I want to be less hated, anyway." he added with a small sigh.

"Glad I could help, though." he continued.

"He was fun." he laughed.

"I get it." Ash replied.

With that, the two of them left, and started to make their way to where dinner would be served.

"So." he said.

"Emi seems really nice." he commented.

"Why would anyone want to hurt or, or kill her?" he asked.

"Or are people just stupid?"

Ash raised an eyebrow as Spear sad what she did.

Already he could see what her personality was like, just from her speech patterns and choices of words. And he liked it. She had spice and vigour to her.

"I see." he said.

"Well... I'm screwed then." he commented.

"I'm not human. But... kinda... I am as well." he muttered.

"People still debated as to whether or not I was governed by the Council or Triad."

Again, Ash sighed.

"Duly noted." he said.

"I'll keep that to myself." he told her.

"Sad state of affairs, though." he then said. "Genetics shouldn't mean shit." he reasoned.

"But... well, this isn't my world." he mumbled, looking at the floor.

"My world passed me by a looooong time ago."

"None that -I- know of." Ash responded.

"Hm." he then mumbled.

"I was quite competent in the kitchen back in my time." he told her.

"I can help with that if need be in the future, if possible." he offered.

"And nobody can know it was me if that would create unease." he then added.

"Seems like you're good at it, too." Ash responded.

"But fair enough." he said.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"Right, so who SHOULD I talk to?" he asked.

"Who IS in charge of kitchen stuff?" he asked further.

"Because part of me's itching to get back in the kitchen and flex my cooking muscles." he chuckled.

"That makes sense." Ash admitted.

"And damn, people flock to dinner in clumps, eh?" he asked.

"I suppose that's fair enough, considering the rules here." he sighed.

"Where do you usually sit?" he asked her.

"Or is it more of a 'find a place if you can' thing?" he asked further, before looking at the people there... and seeing a lot of them were shooting glances at him.

"...and do you want to be around me?" he mumbled.

Ash looked over to the table she mentioned, and smirked.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"A brawl, eh? Been a while since I was a part of one of THOSE, too." he said.

"...wait a minute..." he then mumbled.

"You speak of brawls as though they're something worth planning for." he said.

"They happen THAT often?" he asked her.

"Ah-!" Ash exclaimed, before he noticed that Spear was gone.

"......great..." he muttered.

"So much for blending in via association..." he mumbled, looking around.

"Nobody looks too friendly here." he went on.

"So I guess there's no helping it." he sighed, shrugging his shoulders.

"Suppose I should try and find a place."
