Ever replace that hole your death tore in me.
There was silence in the building as Vincent raced to the location. He reached the door, and got it open, literally in the nick fo time to be blasted across the hall, and down the stairs behind him.
There was an echoing silence after the blast, before scrambling feet.
"Dad!" a light, quiet, voice that no one had heard, was heard approaching where Vincent was. Her red hair wasn't hard to identify, but it was something that could easily be mistaken as her mother. It wasn't though.
"Dad! Are you all right? Did you come from uupstairs?" She asked, concern in her voice.
