In case ye didn't know, International Talk Like A Pirate Day is September 19th
Here be the history of thee day.

oi greatly enjoy talkin like a pirate and I want all of ye to join me.
So all hands on deck, get ye pirate garb on.

Hope me treasure (prize) isn't too meager.
1st place in the avatar contest is 2k volts and a pick of two items from the treasure chest.
Runner up just gets two items from the treasure chest after the first picks.

@Zuzu: I think so too. There aren't many pirate themed items on the site so a lot of them will likely involve creative use of different items~
@Another Movie Addict: It might have been that the other one was too crowded? your current one doesn't seem to have that issue.
