"Well, I'll make my visit a short one." Vincent responded.

"And yes, I'll be seeing to it that she'll be a ward of the guild for now, without the pencil-pushers poking their noses around." he confirmed.

"Beyond that, I just wanted to see how you were doing." he then said. "It's been another long while since we've seen each other." he commented.

"How are you doing?" he asked her. "Bruise aside." he clarified.

"Things still all right with yourself and Remy?" he asked her.

Vincent bit his lip slightly.

"...I love Emelie, you know that." he said. "And she's the sweetest, kindest, gentlest soul I know." he went on. "But when she's angry... you fear for your very soul." he commented further.

"I recall seeing it once." he then told her. "It's not something you forget." he muttered.

He then laughed when she mentioned Remy and Ash.

"A testament to you keeping things quiet." he commented.

"Still. It'd good that you two make each other happy." he added, a sincere smile on his face.

"Whatever works." Vincent responded with a small chuckle.

"And yes, it has been." he agreed.

"When is your next time off?" he asked her.

"We should go out for dinner." he suggested. "Really catch up and fill each other in." he said further.

"My schedule's pretty open." he then said.

"So it'd be whenever's good for you." he added with a smile.

"This weekend?" Vincent asked.

"Sure." he said.

"That sounds good." he told her.

"I should be able to do that." he said further. "Just give me some more specifics when you get them, and we'll call it a date." he continued with another chuckle.

"I think we could both use it." he then told her further.

"I'd like to catch up with you, and you could probably use a break."

Vincent laughed once more.

"Good points." he told her.

"Just let me know when you know the specifics." he said.

"I'll head out and make sure the sign is still there." he went on, referring to the Do Not Disturb sign.

"Sorry again about disturbing you." he apologized once more.

"....I am as well." Vincent admitted.

"But Emelie said that there IS hope." he told her.

"Apparently there's someone that can save her, if he figured out he can." he said further.

"Says he can relate with her on a broken home." he went on.

"But he needs to figure it out for himself." he sighed.

"Anyway, talk to you later, Cass." he finished.

As Vincent left, he pondered who Emelie could be speaking of.

He honestly wasn't sure.

But he had little time to think about it. He needed to make things easier for the guild. They needed to be able to keep the girl there. It would truly be best for her.

'I'm sure Hollie will understand.' he thought.

'She's a compassionate and understanding person.' he reasoned.

AJ looked at the text he had received, and his eyes widened considerably.

"Sorry." he said to the one he had been chatting with. "Gotta run. Just received some big news." he told them.

He then quickly excused himself, and hurriedly made his way through the halls, making sure not to waste any time.

After a very short amount of time, he arrived at the medical wing. He stepped through the doors and looked around, trying to locate Emma.

He didn't see her right away, but figured she was at the bed that the girl had been sleeping in.

'Desiree, huh?' he thought, musing over the girl's name, as he made his way to the bed in question.

At least, he ASSUMED that was the girl's name... the text made it sound like it was her, and he didn't know anyone named Desiree... so he hoped his train of thought was correct.

Ash looked at Desiree, for a moment, before he seemed to be thinking about something. He then snapped his fingers, seeming to remember whatever it was that he was thinking about.

He then looked at Desiree once more, smiled at her, and simply gave her a thumbs-up.

"That's right, isn't it?" he asked Emma.

"You're welcome really has no real sign language outside of extremely formal circumstances, so something like a thumbs-up is considered acceptable ASL for it in common conversation, yeah?"

Ash then smiled again, before sighing.

"Well, I've been... kinda... reading up on ASL." he admitted.

"It's what the book said, anyway." he added.

"And good to see she's awake." he commented further, looking at Desiree again.

"Seems she's healed up nicely."
