All through high school my friends would put something in the win column when they did something good or whatever.
But I always heard "Wind" column and i didn't understand what something good had to do with a wind column. I just went along with it. XD
One of my students thought that putting forth effort was putting FOUR effort and he told me that he put FIVE effort in something instead.
Do you guys have any misunderstandings like this?

yeah I thought "if ifs and buts were candies and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas" was always saying "cannies" and I was so shocked to find out it was candies. >___>
@shark: Cannies? Hahahaha! I heard that phrase for the first time a year ago! Was it something commonly used when you were younger?
@okios: oh boy.... She's trying so hard though. T_T

I hear this one from my best friend all the time, and after about 13 years I don't have the heart to correct her. She says "mine as well" instead of "might as well" and its just adorable.
@okios: There was a video of Rain (the Korean actor) telling the story of him ordering Coke in Hollywood.
I can't find it anymore but basically, yeah, he didn't say it like Coke XD

I thought the same thing. I was today years old.
@hazer: I had never heard the whole phrase! That changes the entire thing. There was another phrase I learned recently that made the meaning opposite of how everyone uses it. I can't remember it right now though. I'm sure it'll come to me around 3am.
@glume: That's really cute! Glume is gold star friend. Friendship level 11/10.
@kozi: Hahahaha I'm glad she liked it! That is too cute!

@Hazer: Well, I believe covenant is a religious term in that context, Haze.
In religious context, a covenant is the agreement between god and a religious community.
Basically, I think it refers to your relationship with god/your religious community.
So it's saying, 'faith over family.'
