"Mmhmm." the man responded.

"The hell are you doing!?" the one that started it exclaimed.

"You have greater concerns." the man responded.

"I can deal with these guys." he then told Desiree.

"You're here for a reason, obviously. Get to it." he told her further.

"These guys are nothing."

"Mmhmm." the man responded.

The men that were in agony suddenly seemed to be relieved, but by then, he and Desiree had left the building.

"Nasty place." he said to her when they were outside.

"Real hive of scum and villainy." he commented.

"Not surprising you were targeted." he then sighed.

The man was about to answer, but was interrupted by a burst of black flames that erupted beside them... and when they died down, Ash was there.

"Desiree!?" he exclaimed.

"...it's cool." the man responded.

"Jaden?" Ash asked.

"I happened to be there at the time, and took care of the situation." Jaden said.

Ash was silent as Desiree said what she did and left.

"....right." he muttered.

"Yeah, it could have been ugly, but... not sure if she was in any REAL danger." Jaden admitted.

"Regardless, thank you." Ash said to him.

"Ah, no worries." Jaden replied.

"Now... about that number..." he then said with a small smirk.
