I... am craving chocolate. Maybe because Halloween is coming up a.k.a post-Halloween candy sales

I really like dark chocolate, the 85+% cacao really bitter like my soul kind (although other chocolate is good too). I once bought chocolate chips to bake cookies with and then subsequently ate the rest of the bag whoops

Ahhhh dark chocolate is my favorite too x_x.
Not too fond of white chocolate though.

@Ixora: Yeah honestly why do I bother trying to make cookies when I could just buy chocolate and eat that pfff

@Kid: Ahh that sounds really good actually!! Melting chocolate into milk makes for some very rich hot chocolate. Puts instant hot cocoa to shame.

@Alexis: I think I eat white chocolate the least haha. It's probably because I just really like the cacao flavor and it's missing that?

I feel like I'm one of the few people I know who likes mint chocolate haha. I'm a big fan of dark chocolate with raspberry filling on the inside too mmm

dark chocolate is awesome.
Sometimes I remember the story that was like a retelling of Midas, but instead it's a kid who wishes he could always eat chocolate.
So everything he ate or drank turned to chocolate. Even the water from the water fountain.
So I always thought "so...what? It turned it into Yoohoo?"

@Ixora: I had to look that up, but I'm wondering, is it... straight whiskey in there? Or is it like whiskey-infused something?? I've definitely eaten chocolate with some kind of alcohol infused but I can never really taste it over the chocolate.

I forgot what Yoohoo was entirely until I looked up images, and wow that was a flashback

@Kid: I think maybe the hardest thing is how to melt the chocolate without curdling the milk (which I hateeee agghh), which to be honest I haven't yet figured out haha. Low heat? Lots of whisking??
My friend gave me this drinking chocolate before, and it's basically just a bunch of small chunks of chocolate meant for melting and then drinking! I'm sure there's others out there - I really liked this one because it was a good amount of dark (55%!).

@Ixora: I'm imagining the texture of maple syrup but with the taste of whiskey... uh I'm not so sure about that going in chocolate

@Kid: Hmm maybe curdle wasn't the right word? It's like... a skin that forms on the top when it's heated too much? Admittedly I probably heat it too fast because I'm really impatient with cooking oops
It's probably because of the milk protein - if it doesn't happen to almond milk then maybe I should switch over haha
