My friend and I had a random conversation the other day about which side you start with first when you brush your teeth. We're both right-handed but start on opposite sides. We both swear that our side is the more natural side to start with.

I never thought about it until I brushed this morning, BUT

Hmmm interesting results! It seems like most people start brushing on the side opposite their dominant? (me too)

@Hachi: it can also be because we read from left to right. I had an art class and they said that, if the subject isn’t in the centre, it should on the right, because that was it get the most attention.
As for your question for Kozi:
I too use both hands. I write and brush my teeth with right, but, when I clean the windows for example, I use left. I also use right for cutting things with a scissor because most are made for right handed people. When I cut things with a knife, I use either one.
@Hachi: It literally depends on which hand is busy. XDD I can write using either one. Although my writing with the left looks different, kind of italicized. When I use my tablet, I switch hands often. My right hand usually stays over by the mouse, since it is on the right side. Ironically, I don’t like usuing a mouse with my left hand, it’s weird. XD
I have terrible hand-eye coodination so something like brushing my teeth has to become something I really concentrate on. I start on my right side xD currently: new novel who dis?

@Tuijp: That makes sense. There are probably a number of things that we do subconsciously from left to right. Like I'm pretty sure that when I fold clothes, I always pick up the left side.
That's interesting! I suppose there are certain things that you've gotten used to doing with one hand as opposed to the other.
