It wasn’t loud, but it also wasn’t too quite. If anything, it was quieter than usual at the hour it was, but it wasn’t anything too extreme. She was both loving and hating it as she dove into the store to dodge some people where were comin’ down the sidewalk on their bikes. She barely managed to avoid being run over, but she wasn’t that worried about it.
As she saw where she was though, desperation took hold. She grabbed a couple of the apples and bolted out the door. It didn’t take long before she heard someone following her, hollering for her to stop, to return what she’d stolen. She ignored them, had to just continue on. It was a bit of a case of survival for her by this point.
Her small frame stumbled a bit over the mess of the sidewalk in front of an alleyway, but she managed to right herself without much difficulty. As he heard the person chancing her start to turn the corner to chase her, she felt a pair of hands grab her and pull her into the alley she was by. She couldn’t cry out due to the hand that was over her mouth.
”Shut up or he’ll hear you.” She heard after a moment. Internally, she was panicking a bit, but at the same time, for some reason, she really wasn’t. She knew taht there was a high chance of her not having any issues here, or at least not issues she could do anything about. She was but a child still, after all. She hadn’t even reached ten yet, although she was close.
