I hope these NPCs come back for future stories.
Would be a shame to get their backstories fleshed out so much and then we just dump them to the wayside after this event.

Ran's backstory is the darkest of them and reminded me of a book I read earlier this year called 'Twisted' by Hannah Jayne.
