@Little Crane: thank you for that. I've been wanting to post, but I'm awkward about initiating convos. xD
also, no snow here o w o
if we do get any, it probably won't be until february?
where do you live, if you don't mind me asking?

Come be awkward with me. I feel marginally less awkward here because I made this hangout.
I live on the northeastern coast of the States.

i don't think i could survive up there. i'm in (and from) texas, so the cold really gets to me. xD
I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago, and was complaining about it already being like in the 50s, lol
do you like the snow?

I would rather live somewhere where the snow does not melt than where anything below sixty is considered cold.

lol
at least y'all get actual snow
we get ice x.x

We get ice as well, particularly while the earth is still warm enough to melt the snow and have the cold air freeze it.

what do you consider to be cold, btw? as well as hot?

Report

Donator Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/11/9 16:34:34 )
Below zero is cold, above eighty when dry, seventy when humid, is hot.

Donator Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/11/9 16:40:49 )

i really hope i never experience below zero
that would be hell x.x
eighty is really nice, imo! :D
and thank goodness i've never really had to deal with humidity. That would be killer. xD
the only time i've really experienced it is when i step out of the shower, and then I'm all like, "huh, so that's what that feels like" while wanting to claw off my skin x.x

Every summer here, it is humid. It is not so bad when there is moving wind, but usually the hotter half of summer the air is dead. I know of many people who dislike it as well. Every winter likes to hit negatives for temperature.

how does one dress for those super cold temperatures? o:
i'm assuming there's a lot of layering involved?

also, gonna go eat, so i'll ttyl! :3

Several layers, yes, but only if you are going outside for a long period of time, such as sledding. Many layers are not as necessary if you are only going from, say, house to car. Then a good winter jacket, warm pants, thick socks, and winter boots are plenty.

i should probably learn how to layer xD
the reason i always complain about being cold is because i usually only wear a hoodie out x)
but it's just what i'm used to wearing for most of the year x.x

Layering is helpful.
The family cat got shut in the guest bedroom and I am not sure why or how they got in there.

No, I do not. The family is not one to take many pictures for any reason.

Donator Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/11/10 23:12:28 )
The Claidi Journals, Coraline, Tamora Pierce's books, to name a few. I recently purchased my own copy of Coraline as I have not been able to read it in years, so I look forward to reading what I remember and seeing what I have forgotten.
