@MoodyBats: It's really only inconsistent when I draw digital. I don't have a tablet so I use my trackpad on Photoshop, so sometimes I don't get it to look like a real style lol

My traditional art is much better and more consistent.

@iggy: Ah makes sense.
I have a tablet but im a very unmotivated artist tbh.

Sometimes my art looks like this [x]
And then other times it's this.
[x]
I like having different styles of art. like one is more cartoony or one is semi-realistic.

I'm so bad at traditional art. Like it takes me FOREVER to draw a small thing in my sketchbook.

@MoodyBats: Ooh your styles are very nice! I like that experimental coloring. I can see the similarities in the two though! The hair and the length of the neck ties them together.

This is what a lot of my traditional art looks like x and this X and x and x. I have a more defined chibi style than I have anything else though. I tend to be more sketchy with traditional lol

And then here's some of my digital. I prefer traditional though because it's easier and faster for me. x and x and x.

@iggy: Well they are the same piece.
I just totally revamped the style of it cause i was unhappy with the first draft.

Ah Nice. they all look really good.
I think my style depends what i have in mind for a piece.
I have a lot of wip's but most are either you can barely see, not finished, or just have no hair/arms. lol.

@MoodyBats: lol my sketchbook is like that. Too many WIPs and unfinished or abandoned drawings.

@iggy: yeah. though i never really abandon a drawing.
Sometimes it just takes me a while to come up with an idea i like for it.

@MoodyBats: I do it all the time. If I start it and it's not for someone or I'm not feeling it I'll abandon it and go to a new page.

I usually work on things for months until I am satisfied with the piece
which is what i have been doing for past 1-2 months on this headshot.
And I am trying to push myself to experiment more.

@MoodyBats: Well I suppose that's something people are more focused on drawing do! I understand trying to get the drawing to look right and to keep improving it. I'm more of a photographer and crafter than I am a "drawer?" lol. I would go back to my prints in the dark room all the time and see what I could do better by reprinting them with different amounts of light exposure and stuff.

@iggy: I've always been into drawing since i was very young.
So I've always wanted to be an artist.
I just have issues with focus and motivation.

Though i love creating. And I really want to have my own online store
in the near future. I also spent a long time without having a tablet and had to
draw by mouse[which was not fun at all]
so now that i have one, i want to make sure i am using it well. :vanora_sweat:

I also spent a ton of time watching and studying speed paints. and kinda want to see
myself put what i've learned to the test too.

@MoodyBats: Same here. I've been drawing all my life. My love of drawing kind of spawned my love of all things art. Sewing, playing clarinet, making props for cosplay (no matter how frustrating that is) and what I a actually went to school for which is photography.

Watching speed paints and stuff is a good way to learn! I learned a lot from art Youtubers when I was in high school trying to perfect my animu style lol

@iggy: When i was little i remember playing life and got so happy when i got the artist job XD
and i would always say "i'm gonna be an artist!"
It was usually either artist or fashion designer though when i was growing up.

It really is because I've learned so much just from watching. And not just for painting
but also tips for beginners and from earlier this year i use to compare myself
and then i just stopped comparing myself. and that is honestly so hard to do.

For a long time in junior high i did a lot of chibi styled stuff.
though i am quite happy how my style has grown.
The piece i made i am most proud of despite it's incomplete is a piece i first drew when i first got my tablet
and i livestreamed for like 2-3 hours straight. :vanora_xd:

She will forever be my favorite. :vanora_heart:

The word "contest" drew me in but sadly either too un-creative or just too brain tired to think of a name to contribute

But I like all the rainbows going on :D
