So, I have time to myself for the first time in a very long time.

I kind of don’t want to waste it sleeping before work, even though I know I should. It’s so precious.

Do you guys get enough alone time?

Back before I knew I was narcoleptic, I talked myself into believing I only woke up between 1am and 3am for alone time. I had about six roommates at the time, and those were my golden hours... Even couch-guy was usually, at the very least, passed out drunk on said couch. I never use this time productively, however. My brain is mush for about 4 hours after I wake up and all I'm good for is ranting incoherently on the internet.
What are you doing with your alone time, Kozi m'dear?

@Glume: Honestly, I have no idea. I live with someone who has a pathological fear of being alone, so I almost never am.

... I don’t even know where to begin.

And it’s dark out still. shivers

@Kozi: I feel you. I was a hermit the first 27 years of my life because my mum didn't want me to go anywhere. It sounds like you might have a worse time of it, though.
The darkness is our comforting friend!
But, also ....yeah *grabs blanket*

Yeah, I will definitely be a blanket burrito today. XDD;;;
which is normal

I do have to go into work later, assuming the person picking me up doesn't lose track of where I live.
That is easy to do in this magical forest. XDD;;

But at least, until then, I have some time.

    I often feel wrapped up in my own head, thinking about the future or past - be it work, house or social things. Even on my day off, I tend to go out or have duties to complete.. when I do get time to myself it seems to fly by and I can never get enough of it.

    I have started waking up early, which gives me more time during the day for my own mindless things. I spend a lot of time in the car commuting to work now, which I guess is the next best thing to solitude.

    Blanket burrito is a great term omg.. I need more of that in my life

@Kozi: I also have to work later! *flails* In about six hours. No fun.
They've been giving me one day off a week, its horrible for that free time situation.

@Glume: The only part that sucks is that I'm afraid my alarm won't wake me. There have been times where it hasn't. x_x;;

But if that happens, at least I won't have to go to work?? RIP

@Kozi: I set multiple alarms for that very reason... one on my vibrating wrist watch and sometimes I don't even feel that.
Narcolepsy is fun

@Glume: I usually just get left there, since waking me up can be almost physically impossible sometimes.

RIP sick time lol

Or I have to set a super loud alarm that almost gives me heart failure.

.... SO not ideal. XDD;;

If anything, others would claim that I do not socialize enough. I like my alone time, I can daydream for half a day and no one is there to comment.

@Little Crane: I wonder sometimes if most people on Voltra socialize enough.
I want to like... wrap them in blankets and feed them snacks. XDD;;

That sounds lovely, though.
I think I would lose waaaay too many days to that, though. XDD;;

Ah, but that is nice, when you have no proper reason to stay set within the construct of time.

@Little Crane: Hopes and dreams. XDD;;
I think that might have been a bit of a problem in my younger years, though.
I spent most of those locked away. x_x;;

Forced isolation is no good. People should be allowed to go out and about if they so choose.

@Little Crane: Your avatar is so cute, btw!

And, much of it was self-imposed. I wouldn't recommend it, psychologically.

Millet, spilling the tea:

If I dont get alone time daily Im way more likely to have a melt down lol. Whats hard is getting QUIET time. Some sort of noise is always going on and earplugs hurt my ears. Sometimes I desperately just want silence. Lately that seems impossible to find.
I live surrounded by woods so I used to always go out to escape. But we had a bear attack last week to a neighbor and my fiance had to avoid a 8 coyote pack. Usually they leave us alone and Thankfully they didnt chase him and he came home safe. So....hanging alone outside is outta the question.

Last year a moose blocked our driveway for like 2 hours and we had to cancel morning clients. /dead

Thank you. I like how the sleeves of the dress blend into the jacket so it looks like one piece.
I see. Mother had me join clubs and the like and did not seem to like that I did not enjoy myself. She is not very understanding when it comes to some people do not like being crowded and busy at all times.

The only alone time I get is when my girlfriend gets out of bed before me, and I lay there by myself a bit longer.
Otherwise, I'm always with my girlfriend or her stepdad.
I don't really need alone time though.
We spend our time in eachother's company, but we're not constantly talking or things like that.
We just sit together and do our own things, and occasionally talk about different stuff.

I'm alone for a good chunk of the day every weekday. o:
I'm used to it for the most part, but on rare occasions do I actually feel lonely.
