Kalin was out of the hospital, and life had returned to normal for her... and it was getting close to the end of the semester... with still no word from Harvard.
However, as Kalin was working on another assignment, she heard Lindsay call to her.

"Well it's about time." Kalin muttered as she set her pen down and got to her feet. She made her way to where Lindsay was.
"I was starting to wonder if I would ever hear back regarding my application." She told him as she reached where he was.
After she'd been handed it, she looked it over before sighing and opening it to find out what was in there.

What she found inside was... almost what she'd been expecting.
She discovered that she HAD been accepted into Harvard.
And that she WAS getting a scholarship.
However she saw it wasn't a FULL scholarship.
She read further, and found that they would cover pretty much all her expenses... until her last year.

Casey was sitting in the middle of the park in the middle of the city, the sun was bright and giving her the perfect chance to actually see what she was doing. Her headset - with cat ears, of course - were giving her notably loud music (although it wasn't bleeding out of them at all) as she worked on a small painting. It was of the park ahead of her, along with the bandshell taht was there.

It was a male she didn't know, but he seemed to be VERY interested in her painting. Or maybe it was her.
Either way, he wasn't moving, but WAS studying something intently.

Casey's gaze barely flicked toward the one watching her. She had no idea what to make of that, and was certainly on edge. One thing that she'd learned over the years with Ash was simply how to defend herself. He had made sure she knew how to fight, but had ensured she wouldn't be the one to throw the first punch. She wouldn't instigate it... but that did not mean she wouldn't return a lovetap.
She continued to work until she was done and set it down on the grass ahead of her before stretching.

"Ah! Oh. Uhh..." She paused a moment.
"Name's KC." She said. It sounded the same when said for her name, but when it came to people she didn't know, she used her art handle.

"I mean the whole 'enter the art community' part..." She added after a couple of seconds, clarifying what she'd meant.

Casey, without meeting a beat, looked him square in the eye.
Uhhh.... You're probably seriously overpaying, but sure. If you really want it that badly." She answered with a laugh.
"Careful though, the paint IS still wet." She added as she grabbed it, carefully, off of the board she'd been using to paint before handing the canvas to him. It was small, was only a five by seven canvas, but it was large enough, at least, that it coul be framed up nicely if he decided to.

As she grabbed the painting, the man was scrawling something down on a small rectangle of paper, before ripping it off the book and putting the book away. He then grabbed something out of his wallet.
When Casey handed him the painting, he handed her the two things in return.
One was a cheque for $750 dollars.
The other was a business card. HIS business card.
"I own a gallery and often host auctions and sales." he told her. "Please do bring some of your work there, as I would love to curate it and get your name made known." he added.
