Forums General Chit-Chat that itch to buy a gaming pc.

Voltie — 666 Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/12/7 07:41:59 )
my gaming laptop is 5 years old and beat up and let me tell ya, girl needs to take a break.
HA! I could barely even play League of Legends on medium settings.
What a first world dillemma...

So, I have been having an itch to buy a gaming pc, at least a second-hand, to cope with my gaming habits but maaaan they are just not within my budget.

So I was considering maybe just going for a ps4 but eh.
I don't know, feels like downgrade really... and all my game copies are all pc games.
Whoops.

I don't know guess the discussion is it worth going for gaming pc or maybe just go ps4?

@SirLionelNigelConrad:
Sigh, yeah I've always been a PC gamer just seem like a huge jump to go from that to PS4 just because it's cheaper. :/

@SirLionelNigelConrad:
Hm. Yeah that is true.
Pft, goddamn PC gaming is the most intensive platform out there.
But that comes with a hefty price.

What Lionel said plus, in a few years, there will be a new ps and they will make games for that and not the ps4. With a pc, you can just upgrade it with a few parts or newer software.
When it breaks, you can also just but new parts. Can’t really do that with a ps.

I highly recommend PC. Aiming with a mouse is so much more precise. We usually upgrade bit by bit to save money. There is a huge computer outlet store out in the middle of nowhere out here where we can get great deals, but my mother gets all her good deals online.
BUT! We also plan on getting a console just to play the new Red Dead, so... *shrugs*

@Tuijp:
Yeah that's the plan for me.
I guess, I could just save up and be more patient heh.

@Glume:
That is true.

I say save up for a gaming pc! I have both a pc and some consoles but I end up playing more on my pc then anything else.

@devil: Yeah my advice is just decide what build of PC you want and slowly buy the pieces for it. The big expenses will probably be the processor and graphic card. Once you got those the rest is pretty easy. So keep on the lookout for sales on those :)

Always ping me please.

@vengeance:
Haha, yeah that's true it is more worthwhile in the long run.
Although pain in the butt since I move a lot.
(hence gaming laptop)
OOF.
Ah well. xD

@Tuijp:
hsjhskjshd I'll buy things off aliexpress but gadgets and electronics like pc is the last thing I would buy there ^^;

@Saeyra:
Yeah, that's a great idea :)

@xirin:
Yeah the reason why I initially opted for gaming laptop is because I move a lot.
(Moved to three different countries within the past 3 years... sooo yeah)
But i do see why PC would be worthwhile since you can easily just upgrade parts over time.
Just matter of convenience when moving I guess.

@devil: very well actually. He also bought car parts there and made them sent it to my house.
No package went missing so far and, while it takes a while to get here, it’s way cheper than what it would cost here.

Yeah Alibaba is made for stores or people who resell on the internet. I know someone who buys watches there for 1€ and sells them for 50€.
