"...I love Italian." Jackson replied.

"Sounds like it'll be awesome." he told her.

"Sure, let's go." he said further, as his stomach growled.

"..........." he was silent, and then chuckled lightly, sheepishly.

"Eh-heh. Guess I'm hungry." he said.

"Don't think I've eaten yet today." he admitted.

"Heh, good to know." Jackson responded.

"...love these goggles." he then said.

"Feels good to not look at the world through those damned black glasses." he told her.

"Seriously, my colour perception was WAY outta whack, borderline nonexistent." he said further.

"Hopefully these won't draw as much attention, too." he went on, before pausing.

"...well... aside for when people see my eyes for the first time, anyway." he clarified.

"I think they ARE slightly tinted." Jackson responded.

"But the colour screen seems to be pretty damn good." he told her.

"I can make out colours pretty clearly, and differentiate between shades, too." he said, before pointing to a couple of posters that were nearby.

"For example, I can tell that the red on THAT one is slightly lighter than the one beside it." he commented.

"I assume that's correct?" he then asked.

Jackson looked where Ana motioned, and nodded.

"Right then." he said.

"Let us be off." he told her, as he stretched his arms out for a moment, and started to walk.

"Already, I like the atmosphere here." he commented.

"It feels like... well... I don't have to hide anything, if that makes sense." he told her further.

"Like, my eyes are now clear for all to see, but... I'm okay with that." he continued.

"Again, if that makes sense."

"...yeah, fair enough." Jackson muttered.

"But... you know... at least it seems like I can have a somewhat 'normal' highschool life here." he told her.

"I get the feeling I'll fit in here more than any other school, anyway." he said further.

"Yeah, I may have low standards." he admitted.

"And were you serious with wanting to experiment around with my power?" he then asked her.

Again, Jackson was silent, and then sighed.

"I see." he said.

"Well... I, personally, would discourage that, seeing as I know what I'm capable of." he told her.

"...actually, scratch that, I have an idea, but there could be a lot more to it." he clarified, before pausing slightly, and thinking about it again.

"...okay, I see why you want to experiment." he conceded.

"But yeah, this place seems like a place where I can... for the most part... be me."

"It really is." Jackson agreed, as they made their way into the cafeteria.

When they did, he stopped suddenly, and sniffed the air.

"Ohhhhh my." he said.

"I smell what you mean about the Italian." he told her. "That is certainly a wonderful aroma." he commented.

"...wait, do you eat?" he asked.

"Or... does your host need to eat, being... well... dead, and all?" he clarified.

"Fair enough." Jackson replied.

"Was just wondering." he said, looking around.

"Huh. Seems kinda empty." he commented.

"...then again, I suppose classes are in session..." he mumbled, thinking about it.

"Guess I'm an exception, seeing as I'm new, and need to be familiar with the place."

"All that makes sense." Jackson responded.

"...suppose I should get something in my stomach, at least..." he then admitted, as his stomach growled again.

"What about you?" he asked. "You joining me?" he asked further.

He then looked again, and saw a few students looking his way, but they didn't seem to care about his existence, beyond being a new face, and went back to eating.

"Man..." he muttered.

"Sometimes being ignored is the best feeling." he said.

Jackson looked at what was on display, before grabbing some french toast, some pancakes, and some sausages. He drizzled some syrup over the toast and pancakes, and followed her to the table she chose.

He sat across from her, and smiled lightly as he did so.

"I can see myself growing to really like this place." he said.

"And yeah, being ignored can feel so blissful." he agreed.

"Better than being thought a jerk or a freak."
