@Fielkun: Thank you. <3
@Q t e a p o n: uwu Did you move my intro thread to hangouts?
My son is doing GREAT. He is 7yrs old now! He's a smart little cookie with a ton of personality.
Good luck! I actually just bought my first house this past summer. A 1960s charmer. ♥ There are a lot of responsibilities that come with owning a house, but I feel that it's completely worth it. Having your own place is the best.
Forums Welcome Committee Happy New Year, and hello!
@Q t e a p o n: I linked another thread, but it's okay because someone noticed my mistake and fixed it! :D
The only reason we were able to afford the house is because my husband is a veteran and was able to get a special loan that doesn't require as much money upfront. (We would have needed tens of thousands if we weren't able to get it!) Our mortgage is more expensive than our rent was, but we were also renting a small two bedroom apartment. At least we know this place is all ours once we're done paying on it.
I'm already so excited to start projects. There are three major things (a fence, a front porch, and a back deck) and then there are much smaller things I can do in a weekend. (Converting the hall closet to a linen closet by installing shelves. Restaining our dining table and replacing the legs with something a little more mid century modern.)
I totally understand you about not living in a big city forever. IMO, cities are nice to visit but too busy to live in.

@Totalanimefan: Maybe try building around your favorite item? o: Or challenge yourself to use an item or pose you don't use often.
