So I finally went to urgent care

I've been sick on and off for about 3 months now, tonsil stones kept coming and going. Finally broke down and went to urgent care when my ear clogged up out of nowhere during work on Tuesday night and I couldn't stop sobbing from the pain.

Double ear infection and tonsilitis. The best part is, they gave me the BIGGEST pills I've ever seen even though my throat is swollen? Cool.

On the upside, it will hopefully finally clear up once and for all.

The side effects of taking 875mg of Amoxicillin TWICE a day are ridiculously rough though. I'm sleeping so much. ;~;

That's horrid.
I know it's not an ideal solution, but if you can't swallow the huge pills, cut them in half and try that.
Oooooorrrr dissolve them in water or something and maybe that would work? It would taste absolutely horrid though. So I really wouldn't reccomend that > >

At least that should clear everything up! Hopefully you'll feel better sooooon

@Ghostie: Ear infection you say? I know a trick for that.
Massage your eustachian tubes. They're the connection between your inner ear to your throat. They allow for drainage of your ears and pressure adjusting.
An ear infection is often due to a blockage of the eustachian tubes, in my experience.

Though, with your tonsillitis, it might be quite painful to try massaging behind your ears and down your neck...

@Amber Lynne: Oh I already have a terrible time swallowing pills normally. I've been cutting them in half but I still gag almost every time :(

@Ghostie: I used to have to crush Amox and put it into some chocolate pudding to get it down.
The chocolate flavor and pudding texture helped it go down.
Why are those ones always so freaking huge? x_x;;

@Ghostie: I hope you feel better soon! My dog is on Amocicillin right now twice a day and I have to wash my hands each time after giving him it because I'm allergic to it... I guess I can touch the pill, but I wash my hands just in case I put my hand to my mouth or something cuz I don't want to swell up with hives and have trouble breathing.
