I keep on forgetting to make this thread
So let's say a couple of volties come to visit you, what would you show them of your country?
Okay so I am from The Netherlands and these would be my picks:
- Keukenhof: also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens. Approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares (79 acres).
- Watersnoodmuseum: This museum is all about the extraordinary stories of ordinary people about their experiences with water. Stories about the disaster in ’53, stories about rebuilding, stories about the Delta Works. Told by the people who have experienced it. Learn more about the 53 flood & Watersnoodmuseum
- Neeltje Jans: Delta Works. More than half of the Netherlands lies below sea level. The Delta Works were built to keep everyone safe and to prevent a recurrence of the 1953 flood disaster. You can relive history at Deltapark Neeltje Jans: from the flood disaster to the construction of the Delta Works. Neeltje Jans
- TT circuit: The TT Circuit Assen is a motorsport race track built in 1955 and located in Assen, Netherlands. Host of the Dutch TT, it is popularly referred to as "The Cathedral" of motorcycling by the fans of the sport. I would take you to the Gamma Racing Day.
- Burgers Zoo: It's a zoo. There is no other zoo in my country I like more then this one.
- Mondo Verde: Beautiful gardens. Since some years there is now also a zoo.
