Forums General Chit-Chat Got my last wisdom tooth extracted

Voltie — She/Her Posted 6 years ago ( 2019/03/24 05:24:38 )
I'm sick and tired of eating oatmeal three times in a row.
GIMME SOME OF DAT MEAT

  • What's your experience when you got your wisdom tooth pulled out?
  • I heard some get all four of their wisdom teeth pulled out in one go?
  • Any food you recommend?

@Totalanimefan:
I did try them last night. It tasted great! But having to eat sweet food (basically oatmeal with strawberry milk) for the past couple meals has me craving for something savory.
I wish it was possible to blender some steak rn. xD

Also, cool cosplay!

I got all four of mine extracted at once. My doc had me under some kind of anesthesia where I would be in a twilight state, not quite out but not awake so I could still respond.

All I remember is telling him I loved him. He stopped whatever he was doing to pull his hands out of my mouth and asked me to repeat myself.

"I LOVE YOU"

Chuckling from him and the nurses. Then fade to black.

He'd been my dentist since I was in middle school. Mom and I called him "Doctor Hottie" up until then. He ended up transferring to some other oral surgery place, so I never saw him again.

@Kurohon: Did you eat it with a spoon?

@SirLionelNigelConrad:

(I haven''t seen the movie sadly. It's still funny without context tho)

@Kelsey: How did you even survive getting all four extracted at once? Must have taken a month to heal.
LMAO that's just hilarious. Also, cute and embarrassing at the same time??

My first meal after the extraction, I had oatmeal with bananas blendered, so I just drank it. The other times, I used a spoon. It was hard to fight the urge to take a big scoopful and shove it into my mouth. It's hard eating small bits one at at time. :'D

I had a trainwreck of a surgery relatively recently, and here’s what I did.

Go for stuff with real food value, that doesn’t require much mouth torque. XD

Mashed potatoes, with butter
Butternut or other squashes, mashed
Protein shakes
Soups, either purée style or just normal soup, and avoid the tough bits
(Or just have the broth)
Paté, if you can find it (is meats, and fatty to keep weight loss at bay and keep strength up)

:3
Feel better soon

aw, I hope you feel better soon <3

I ended up eating pretty much only a sweet, cold soup thing called koldskål for about 5 - 6 days, when I had a wisdom tooth surgically removed
(I also was in pain throughout all of that time, it was hell since I'm no good with pain that I feel I have no control over)

    I had to get my wisdom teeth surgically extracted but it was a relatively easy recovery. I was told to eat whatever I could tolerate so I was eating shrimp and vegetables that night.
