That sounds annoying. Trying to get the mod team to pick sides... Why can't people just keep that stuff between themselves.
My bff runs a discord server and he's constantly got people trying to draw him into drama. Even if it happens outside or has nothing to do with the server.

[ Well this group is generally pretty drama free, because all of us are anti-drama...Minus this one guy. He's knew a does a lot of old school attention seeking behavior. Like claiming harassment when he started the conversation. Was bound to happen as the group grows. Easy to stay drama free when you're tiny. ]

That is true, it's one of the downsides of adding more than just friends to your servers.
We have a few of those in our server too, though. Mostly it's just lonely teens trying to get attention.
But sometimes it gets so out of hand for no reason. It's like... Do y'all have nothing better to do?

[ I've met several of the people in our group, but yeah meeting irl after drama can be rather awkward. Been to only one function as a mod, and that went over rather well. We like to go bowling every once and a while.

This group was started so the local furries didn't feel alone. We're in a really conservative area, so it's nice.

Had a girl threaten suicide if I didn't give her attention. >w> I'm terrible and told her go ahead. ]

Goodness the suicide thing sounds familiar... I don't think you're horrible. You called their bluff for what it was-- a cry for attention. Hopefully they learned never to do that again.
And at least it's good to have a group like that. I'm not a furry but I am LGBT and I wish I had that kind of support when I lived in the Bible Belt.

[ Most of us are in the LGBT community too. It really does make life a lot easier, and less isolating. Ever since joining this group, I've grown leaps and bounds. Like my social anxiety used to be so bad, that I couldn't even order food. Which Tumblr LOVES making that sound adorable, it's not. But when I went several hours away from my comfort zone, I ordered food. In a restaurant. By myself. Even hosted a furry panel at a recent convention. Now I'm a mod for the group, successfully interviewed for the first time ever. ]

Yeah anxiety of any kind isn't "cute" or "endearing". Being shy=/=nearly having a panic attack. I find that with the right group of people, you can learn a lot and overcome a lot as well. If you've got the right people backing you up. You know? So all the dumb drama aside I am happy for you. (And let's be honest, a year from now no one is gonna remember most of the dumb small stuff anyway.)
