With that, he stepped inside, and the door was shut behind him.

"I've never minded a little mess." he told her.

"By the way, I brought drinks and dessert." he then said, holding up the cloth bag.

"I wanted to be nice." Darrel replied.

"As for anything needing to be chilled, the drinks were cold when I got them, but depending on when you want to eat, they may need to sit in the fridge until dinner." he told her.

"And the dessert actually needs to thaw for a bit, so that will benefit from NOT being chilled." he chuckled.

"....yeah, it's just pop and cheesecake." he then admitted.

"You any good in the kitchen?" She then asked after a few seconds.

"Or are you hopeless like most teens?" She asked with a laugh

"What all do you want help with?" he then inquired.

Abby just sighed as Darrel asked his qyuestion.

"Sadly, no." She answered.

"Not so far, but then again... I don't really have much in terms of experiences for ... the normal society. Finding people who want to hire someone inexperienced and also a mana hunter is not easy when I come across those that are mages." She paused.

"You would be amazed at how often I'm interviewed by a bloody mage."

"TRue. Even if I wanted to, I really can't argue with you there." Abby commented.

"People suck, and if I want life to be easy for me, I'm boned. Mana hunters tend to hate me, due to how I'm not a 'true' hunter. I don't have a problem with those that we would normally be hunting." She then said.

"So... I'm often rejected by most, well, most that fall into the 'aware of mana and non-humans' category."

Darrel looked in the direction of the den, and nodded.

"Sure." he replied.

He then went to the den, looked through the movies, before settling on a detective/spy flick.

"Seems good." he said, putting it in the player.

He was then immediately sucked into the film, as it started with a bang, and captured his interest.

While he was watching the movie, Abby had made food and brought it out to him. They ate, enjoyed the movie and chat.

After all was said and done, and dishes were done as well, she sat on the couch and just met his gaze.

"You know, I always wondered where the eye had gone." She commented, having caught sight of his lighter blue eye.

"Since I knew I hadn't gotten it."
