Forums General Chit-Chat Let's talk about tea
@Kira: I guess black tea. Whatever it is I paid a buck-eighty for at Wally World, lol. :viosweat:
@Totalanimefan I didn't think I used that much matcha, but I'll be darned if I don't like genmai with matcha. I forgot how potent matcha is in caffeine content, I guess D:
I'm still pretty well-awake. I don't know whether to be concerned or impressed.

@Totalanimefan: I steeped it for only 30 seconds instead of the 2 minutes recommended on the bag.
@Totalanimefan: I'm a bit confused. I don't have a problem with the caffeine amount in sencha.

@Totalanimefan: we haven’t had much lately and, this weekend, we’ll have a temperature that we normally don’t get until the summer

@Kira: 0! Ahaha. I usually go to the bathroom first thing in the morning though, but my bladder isn’t very full.
My favorite teas are Earl Grey, Herbed chai with frothed milk, and matcha. :3
I prefer my matcha done sweet, though. Most of the teas, actually.
The tummy does not like unsweet things to drink. RIP

@bum: Yaaaay, tea heathens unite. XDD;;
Oh my love, I know you are my candyman
And oh my love, let us fly to bounty land~~

@Tuijp: I do enjoy coffee as well! How do you like your coffee? I drink mine black with no sugar.
@nature: Haha that's good. One time as a kid I drank a ton of Welch's grape juice and ended up wetting the bed. Was it worth it? Yes.

@Totalanimefan: Oh haha I see. And yes! If I'm not sure how to prepare a tea I'll look up a guide or post in the tea subreddit. I love taking green tea to work with me and I consume it the most.
Have you ever had Tibetan butter tea?
@Kozi: Earl Grey sounds great right now.
@bum: Yes mint tea is a blessing. I'm sorry you can't find it anymore but it sounds interesting!

@bum: You could always try replicating it on your own if you have the time!
@Totalanimefan: I've only had it with cow's milk/butter and I would love to try it the traditional way. People recommend you think of soup while you drink it so that the flavor doesn't shock you.

@Kira: I’m personally more of a coffee drinker myself but I do love a good cup of tea
One of my favorite teas is called Aveda Comforting tea, that with some raw honey & steamed milk is really good
Costs about 14 dollars in store vs about 24 online
I enjoy those glass teapots & those electric kettles that boil water when you push the lever down? Those are pretty rad I like those
I’m also a sucker for tea sets, the most amount of money I spent on a tea set was about 200ish
Other than that, tea every so often & I like it more with milk than with water

@insomniapatient: Ah yes I've been very happy with my electric kettle. Especially since my stove keeps breaking...
How do you like your coffee?
How do you like your coffee?
@Totalanimefan: I'm the same way but I'll try a tea with milk if someone recommends it. Although I haven't had dairy in a long time.
@Totalanimefan: I've been meaning to try oat milk! I was going to attempt making it myself because I haven't seen it in stores here. I usually have Almond milk as my substitute but I'm interested in trying cashew milk.
