Ryker raised an eyebrow when Eke returned.

"Hm?" he mumbled.

"What's got YOU all red-faced?" he asked.

"...and happy?" he asked further.

He then leaned in a bit close, and smirked.

"Did you have an encounter with a girrrrl?" he teased.

Ryker followed Eke, still smiling.

"Well, then!" he said.

"That's something, now!" he commented.

"Good for you, kid." he told him, his face almost beaming.

"What do you plan to do for your date?" he asked.

Ryker thought for a moment, before nodding.

"Right then." he said.

"What would you prefer to wear?" he asked. "What do you think would be appropriate?" he asked further.

"On another note, now we know why those dragons were staring at you back in the restaurant like you were a celebrity." he commented, changing the subject briefly.

"You essentially ARE."

Ryker thought for a moment, scratching his chin.

"Well... I don't know much about girls." he said.

"But I'd tend to think you'd want clean and neat jeans... a button-up shirt... perhaps a nice light jacket..." he went on, not talking about Eke being a celebrity.

The best way to get Eke to stop thinking about it would be to not talk about it. At all.

"You don't need to fancy yourself up TOO much for a cafe."

Ryker nodded.

"Sure thing." he replied.

"Let's get you some date clothing." he declared with a smile.

He then made his way towards Eke, and gently put a hand on his shoulder.

"Off we go?"

Ryker just sighed.

"...when i broke free from my slavery, I was almost like a feral animal." he said.

"I did not know how to deal with kindness and generosity, so I shied away from people." he went on.

"It's a miracle I'm not actually feral." he then commented.

"But the long and short of it... is no." he said.

"I've never been on a date. At all. Or anything even CLOSE to one."

Ryker just rolled his eyes when Eke made his comments.

"Yeah, yeah." he said with a smile.

"And colour?" he asked, looking through the racks as well.

"I think a navy blue... or maybe a dark grey... might work." he told him.

"Black is always fashionable... and you could wear red highlights with it, too..." he then said, thinking aloud, looking at what was on display.

"Ah, see, that's the thing." Ryker said.

"Jeans go with EVERYTHING." he told him.

"So try that navy blue shirt... and perhaps this lighter shade of blue will work." he went on, handing it to him.

"Regardless, I think you'll be fine." he then assured Eke.

"You're a handsome lad now."

Ryker just shrugged.

"Just trying to stray away from that." he said... before smirking.

"But if you miss it....." he went on, trailing off some and slipping close to Eke.

"I COULD say that she'll find a fancied up Eke positively adorable." he commented in a teasing tone.

"How about that?" he asked, gently nudging Eke's side.

Ryker followed Eke, staying silent until they reached the room.

When they did, he made his way to the kitchenette, and started to cook some meat.

"Your date is just for a cafe." he said.

"They tend to be light on the actual food. Sandwiches and stuff tend to be overpriced and not filling, to say the least." he then muttered, seemingly from experience.

"So I'll make up something substantial for you to eat before you head out."
