@Kira: I’ve tried, and failed, so many times at keeping a journal. The closest I’ve gotten is ‘journaling’ my poetry, but when I try journaling for the sake of journaling, it feels awkward and forced. Unnatural, even.
Something about writing out my private thoughts for my eyes only is intensely uncomfortable for me. This probably says a lot about me as a person.

@Wren: Ooh, that's awesome! I was always awful at writing poetry, but I enjoy reading them. haha

@Wren: I completely understand where you're coming from. I was the same way until recently, and I don't know what changed. I think writing when I feel the need to talk about something to someone, and not forcing myself to do it really helps. It's almost like writing out of desperation when I think about it.
@mori: Poetry seems more natural to me than prose because it isn’t constrained by syntactical rules. Right now, i’m trying to branch into my interpretation of prose poetry—poems with prose embedded throughout. It’s helpful to me because I stay on track—it’s like having an outline, of sorts.
@Kira: Maybe it takes practice, too I turn to writing as a solace when i’m going through emotional turmoil. What I write usually doesn’t perfectly align with my thoughts, though.
