Zeke accepted the container, and nodded.

"....right." he said.

"Thin coat, every other day, couple weeks." he said.

"No sharing." he went on.

"Got it." he said further.

"...thanks." he then finished, almost stunned by how the whole thing had played out.

"...ah." Zeke suddenly stammered.

"Ah, no." he said.

"No. Things are... pretty clear." he told her.

'Well... as far as this cream is concerned.' he then thought.

"See you." he finished, before leaving the medical wing. He wandered through the hallways, seemingly in a bit of a daze, before turning a corner and bumping into a smaller female with rather vulpine-like qualities.

"Oh." he said.

"Sorry, Peyton." he apologized to her.

"Just got some stuff on my mind." Zeke responded, before his stomach growled.

"...and apparently hungry." he then said sheepishly.

"I'm going to head to the cafeteria." he told her.

"What about you?" he asked. "What are you up to?" he asked her.

"Seemed like you were in a bit of a hurry, judging from how hard we bumped into each other." he chuckled.

Zeke chuckled as well, and stepped out of her way.

"Well, don't let me stop you." he said.

"Go and get that done." he told her.

"I'm going to make my way to the cafeteria." he went on.

"Odds are you'll catch up to me before I get there, given how quick you are." he added with a smirk.

Zeke laughed when she said that.

"Of course." he said.

"Not only are you quick, I'm slower than usual." he told her.

"Sustained heavy damage from a recent assignment." he explained.

"Anyway, how have you been?" he asked as they entered the cafeteria.

"Been a while since we just talked."

"I should be." Zeke replied.

"I got a special cream for the injury." he told her.

"So I'll be fine." he assured her further, as they started to get their food.

"....hey..." he then muttered.

"Mind if I ask you something?" he asked her.

"About the staff here." he then added.

"Well, it's about someone that works in the medical wing." Zeke replied.

"Specifically, one called Angela." he told her.

"Is she... new here?" he asked.

"I've never seen her before." he said.

"Now, granted, I'm not in the medical wing very often... but I'm curious." he went on.

"She gave me the cream, after all."

Zeke's eyes opened wider for a fraction of a second, before he shook his head.

"Not really." he said.

"Well... okay, kind of." he then admitted.

"Normally when I go there, the ones that end up treating me end up looking at me like I'm ready to cast judgement on their souls and deliver God's wrath upon them." he said. "It's... not entirely their fault, I am what I am, but it DOES get tiresome." he told her.

"But Angela just treated me like I was just another patient." he went on.

"It was refreshing." he then said further.

"So I was curious as to who she was, and if she was new here." he finished, hiding quite a bit more from Peyton with that statement.

Zeke seemed a bit taken aback at first, and then raised an eyebrow when she said that.

"I hardly think I'm going to fall for one of our medics because she's not afraid of me." he told her.

'Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!' he cursed mentally. 'Play it cool! Talk normal! Keep it up!' he told himself.

"It was merely a refreshing surprise is all." he said.

"I'm glad she treats everyone equally. It's what a proper medic should do." he told her, before pausing.

"And by that, I mean professionally, attitude-wise, of course." he then added a bead of sweat dripping down the side of his head.

"N-no, no." Zeke replied.

"...though I DO appreciate your bluntness." he muttered.

"Regardless, it was just something new for me." he told her.

"Caught me off guard, I suppose." he went on.

"But thank you for the info." he then added.

'I shouldn't pry any further... lest I truly DO reveal something I don't want revealed.' he thought to himself.

"Guess I'll be out of commission for the next little bit, though." he then mumbled, looking at his wound.
