@vengeance: That's good. Right now I'm trying to do a no bleach for 6 months, except my roots.
@Queen of Trash: When I let my hair dye red I don't even need bleach. I have blond hair.
@vengeance: I have blonde hair too, the direct dye takes better on bleached hair so I bleach it. I only do like 10 minutes because that's all it needs.
@Queen of Trash: Right now I have my hair a lighter blond. So if I ever want it red again I need to wait a long time.

That reminds me back in the days I dyed my hair red once with drug store dye. It was suppose to be a darker red. It ended up being bright red :(

Yeah box dye is super strong so it'll always go darker and/or bright than it shows on the box.

@Queen of Trash: Yeh so better dye at a salon. Atleast then I get what I want.
@vengeance: yeah, I avoid the box dye, it's just not great for your hair for multiple reasons.
@vengeance: that's not good. Definitely don't use that again.
@vengeance: I use a brand called Arctic Fox. It's basically conditioner that deposits color. They also donate 15% of their profits to animal charities.

@Queen of Trash: That is always good. My current shampoo has a smell I don't like. Can't wait till it's empty so I can buy something else.
@vengeance: My current shampoo has really no smell. I use a color safe shampoo.
@vengeance: Yeah, especially with direct dyes, they fade quickly without it.
