Try the game on compatibility mode. Put CD in then right click and look for the option that lets you see the contents of CD, find the SimCity 4 exe -> right click and troubleshoot for compatibility windows will give you for eg. Windows 7 option and then test.

@Queen of Trash: Wait I also saw this: his Game uses Secure Rom which is a anti piracy technology that windows 10 doesn't support because it is a possible security threat.

@Queen of Trash: What you could do is contact ea through chat. Proof to them you own the game and they can send you a digital code to redeem through origin :)

@vengeance: my husband's laptop has sound but I use it only to watch tv really.
@vengeance: I need to buy some cheap speakers for this computer. But this is just a temporary computer. It's my sister's from when she was in like middle school and high school. Mine broke so this was like one my parents just kind of had there so they're like "use this until we can get you a new one."
@vengeance: I was just going to get like cheap speakers if I got any. There were ones on amazon for like $10.
